Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to upgrade your gear in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This allows you to enhance your gear without having to rely on expensive drops or trades. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrades to equipment grant an additional bonus to the item's stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components make your weapons and armour better. You can find them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in item-spheres. Unlike most other items upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when removed from an item.

Upgrade components are typically used to improve an item but they can also be used for other reasons.
